ABOUT THE DESIGN

Founded in Seattle by Tân and Ý Nguyễn, Soulvenir is a small company that focuses on Vietnamese culture, history, and individuals through clothing, art, and design. More than a clothing line, Soulvenir is also a platform for Vietnamese around the world to connect, recollect, and express our collective self beyond boundaries. Soulvenir is now based in Sài Gòn where the team tirelessly enriches their community and creates space for the young generation of Vietnamese creatives.

The design features the hand-screen-printed Vân Vân logo, developed from a typeface found in a magazine issue printed in 1974; and the cloud motif, designed based on ancient patterns from Lý - Trần Dynasty. The writing essentially reads “vân vân & vân vân,” which means et cetera. The back is embroidered with our icons and Soulvenir logo.

It is a soft structured, low-fitted hat. Lightweight and comfortable.
